| Details: | SUMMARY: water outage response DETAILS: Tillamook County had heard that Pleasant Valley WC had some water outages over the weekend. I emailed nonda to find out what happened. There is a longer description of what happened in the file. A mainline was washed away in a storm last winter, and they did a temporary fix with a 4 inch by-pass. Grant funding is in the works for a permanent solution. Parts of their system were out of water at the services, but the operator thinks the mainline had positive pressure, just not enough to get to customers homes. For this reason, a boil notice was not issued, but they had a tanker truck available in the area for water supply. They repaired a few leaks that may have contributed to the higher demands, but this problem is likely to get worse as the weather improves, until they can replace that by-pass with an adequately sized permanent line. ACTION NEEDED: Bacti samples were collected Monday morning 5/11. Pressure is currently back, but if a leak or other high demand occurs, they will be in the same boat. | ||
