| Details: | SUMMARY: Response to VOC/SOC detections at well 6 DETAILS: Spoke to Bob regarding chemical detections of Tetrachloroethylene (PCE), Trichloroethylene (TCE), and Ethylene Dibromide (EDB) at well 6. Well 6 currently off-line. Second quarter data showed PCE detect at 0.00531 mg/l (MCL 0.005), EDB detect at 0.0000506 mg/l (MCL 0.00005), and TCE detect at 0.00068 (MCL 0.005). Discussed compliance with MCL determined by a running annual average of 4 quarterly samples. Stated that if average > MCL, and well 6 is on-line, an MCL violation would occur, and Fairview would need to post tier II public notice. Also I indicated that City will need to report any detections of regulated contaminants at active wells in CCR. Bob stated that City only plans to use well 6 this summer as a last resort. Feels they can meet there summer demand. ACTION NEEDED: Fairview to continue quarterly monitoring for PCE, TCE, and EDB at well 6. Fairview to contact DWP before placing well 6 on-line. DWP to provide support as necessary. | ||
