Details: | The system never finished plan review for the arsenic treatment that is installed, therefore the arsenic schedule was never d to have it collect quarterly to demonstrate that the treatment was effective at lowering the arsenic level below the MCL as only one EP is treated and then blended with other waters. Water from wells 1 2 goes from treatment to the storage tank. Water from wells 3, 4, 5 and 7 go to a booster pump which branches to the storage tank AND some users. When those 4 wells are not working, the water to the booster comes from the tank. So based on what has been reported, it can not be determined the sample over the MCL originates. Combined with the probability that wells 3, 4, 5, and 7 pumps independently, if one of them is over the MCL for arsenic, it could be providing that water to users with no dilution from the other wells. Arsenic sample results from the individual wells for 3,4,5 7 show ND for arsenic. Delta stated that there was a clerical error and that the sample that was submitted was from EP-A and not EP-B. Delta will request the lab the report to reflect the sample location and then collect a new arsenic sample for EP-B. |
