| Details: | SUMMARY: Customer Complaint Follow Up DETAILS: Received a complaint from a customer who had concerns the citys public works staff person may be adding inappropriate chemicals to the water, and also of brown and black colored water. I contacted the systems contract DRC operator, Ralph Riomondo, to discuss the situation. I provided Ralph with information regarding the polyphosphate dosage required to effectively treat the manganese problem which has caused colored water in the past. Ralph plans to meet with the city staff person today or tomorrow to review the chemical dosages. I also advised Ralph to discuss that the ployphosphates and chlorine are the only chemicals that are to be added to the water. I contacted the complainant by email with the above information. ACTION NEEDED: PWS to adjust polyphosphate dosage as needed to address the manganese/colored water issue. | ||
