| Details: | SUMMARY: Fecal coliform MCL violation DETAILS: I met with Norah Pratton and Don Willis on site. A routine sample taken July 1 showed both total and fecal coliform present, but on Norah indicated on July 2 that there was a good chlorine residual. Two repeat samples taken on July 2 also showed both total and fecal coliform. Don Willis discovered that the chlorinator wasnt working on the morning of July 3, and when I arrived at 12 noon, chlorination was restored. Mrs. Pratton had taken the chlorine residual measurements incorrectly, and therefore there had been no residual when samples were taken on July 1 and 2. Three samples were taken from distribution system locations and marked repeat, and one sample of raw source water was taken. Results will be reported by the laboratory at 2:30 pm July 4. ACTION NEEDED: A public notification was prepared by Burnett, and delivered by the water system the evening of July 3. Boil water warning was not implemented because the chlorine residual has been restored. | ||
