Details: | SUMMARY: Arsenic exceeded MCL DETAILS: 4/30/09 I spoke with Daniel Hough regarding this alert. He informed me that this system has installed a treatment system for arsenic and that the system has failed. Dave Funderburke from Quality Water has done some troubleshooting and believes that he has isolated the problem. 5/6/09 I spoke with Daniel Hough today who informed me that this system does not need to post a tier 2 public notice but does need to post a tier 3 notice (or include chemical detect info in the next DDR). I spoke with Vicki Coons, property manager and informed her that I tier 3 notice is required. 5/21/09 I discussed this alert with Daniel Hough today because the 4/22/09 sample exceeded the MCl and a confirmation sample was not submitted within 2 weeks of that sample being collected, this system will be placed on quarterly arsening monitoring for at least two quarters at which time the monitoring results will be evaluated and the quarterly arsenic monitoring schedule will be re-evaluated. ACTION NEEDED: Arsenic samples will need to be submitted quarterly beginning the third quarter of 2009. | ||
