| Details: | SUMMARY: Site visit to inspect slow sand filtration DETAILS: I met with Joe Donaldson to inspect the progress on installing slow sand filtration for the school. The filter vessels are in place, but not yet plumbed in. They still need a raw water tank to be installed prior to the filters to provide higher driving head, replacement of power to the well, connection to the distribution system, installation of controls, ripening of the filters, and sampling before they will be ready to put into service. They are also considering mitigating damage to the wellhead located on the bank of Beneke Creek from future flooding. ACTION NEEDED: Complete installation, filter ripening, and finished water quality testing prior to placing the filters on-line before the beginning of the school year. | ||
