| Details: | Phone contact with owner regarding DEQ complaint. complaint was sent by DEQ to lane county - lane county has licenses for this facility. complaint noted facility dumpster is open and may be contaminating near by stream/spring. phone contact with owner, owner notes he understands complaint and has staff monitor and clean dumpster area routinely. he noted he did observe paper products on the ground in dumpster area this morning and will have staff clean. i discussed closing lidded receptacles after use (used in morning by cleaning staff) keeping closed to minimize water entry and pest issues. facility noted issues with individuals breaking into gated refuse area to get into trash. discussed monitoring this area frequently and consider writing a policy to address cleaning frequency, monitoring lid, and maintaining refuse storage. no follow up needed. |
