| Details: | SUMMARY: Positive coliform DETAILS: Spoke to Dave on 6/30/09 and he stated that the pump had been replaced and that the quarterly sample was due and he was apprehensive about submitting it because he was sure it was going to be positive and this happened before. The system had not been shock chlorinated after the repair was made. He stated that no one drinks the water because of sulpher. I discussed with him that it was necessary to submit four repeat samples before any attempts were made to shock the well. He was made aware of the five temporary routine samples required for July. Amy Parmenter stated that the system would need to submit four repeat samples within 24 hours of notification of the alert. 7/1/09 - Relayed the information to Dave and he was sure that the pump replacement was the issue. I suggested he call Amy at the Springfield office. ACTION NEEDED: Wait for results of repeat samples. | ||
