| Details: | I received a text from Rudy Doerner that the water system tested positive for E-coli on 7/18/20. After speaking to his father Manfred on 7/20/20 I discovered that the routine test result was Coliform positive not E-coli. Manfred stated that he had already shock chlorinated the water system and posted a Boil Water Notice out of abundance of precaution. I instructed Manfred to flush the water system to remove excess chlorine. The system is chlorinated. Manfred stated that a feed tube on the chlorinator was broken and was not feeding chlorine to the system. He was advised to submit three repeat distribution samples and a triggered source sample. He was advised that if the repeat samples returned positive that a Level 1 investigation would be required. |
