| Details: | SUMMARY: Inspected water system facilities and added chlorine to reservoir due to E.coli positive sample DETAILS: We inspected the reservoir and found the top lid to be unbolted. However, we could find no evidence of intrusion by birds. The well pumps directly to the 20,000 gallon reservoir, so we placed HTH calcium hypochlorite tablet and powder (NSF approved) in the tank. This established a chlorine residual throughout the system (~1.0 mg/l) and Howard will monitor the residual and add more tablets if needed. The chlorine residual is deemed to be more reliable at this time than issuing a boil water advisory. ACTION NEEDED: A source water sample plus Repeat samples to be taken as soon as feasible. | ||
