| Details: | SUMMARY: Positive coliform DETAILS: Positive routine. While speaking with Verne he mentioned that in the summer he hand adds chlorine to the reservoir. I told Verne not to do that any more. I spoke with Wade Root 5/21/09 regarding repeat samples needed. He mentioned that the well was high in iron bacteria. The presence of these bacteria will give a positive coliform result. I suggested he look into a metered chlorinator. ACTION NEEDED: Wade planned on batching the reservoir to 4ppm and then taking 4 repeats after the residual chlorine levels were back to zero. | ||
