Details: SUMMARY: Positive Coliform DETAILS: Kerry believes the E. coli issue was caused by a hose that was left submerged in the lake connected to the system and throughout the past several weeks siphoned water back into the distribution system. Kerry shock chlorinated both wells prior to taking the 4 repeat samples. I explained why it is important to take the repeat samples first prior to shock chlorinating to see where the problem is coming from. Depending on the outcome of the repeat samples, the club is looking into different types of disinfection ACTION NEEDED: Must wait 5 days before taking the 4 repeat samples due to chlorinating. All disinfection/treatment must go through plan review. 5 temporary routines required in August 2009. Recommend installing back flow device on the hose than was left in the lake.
