| Details: | SUMMARY: Coliform positive sample DETAILS: Gordon McGhee called the drinking water program regarding a positive sample collected on August 5. They system did not notify the program or submit the results. Also, the system only collected one repeat sample, at the location of the positive sample. Gordon was verifying that they should have collected additional repeat samples (three total) and also determining how many violations they would receive. I told him that the M&R violation would be valid because they didnt collect the proper number of repeats within 14 days after the original sample. We also discussed that the sample wasnt reported to DWP within 24 hours as is required, although this may be more a laboratory issue than an issue with the system. We discussed that there are technically two violations, not collecting enough samples and not reporting the positive sample timely, and that both violations will need to be reported in the CCR.
