| Details: | SUMMARY: Detection of Hexachlorocyclopentadiene DETAILS: I spoke to Scott Shulda about a detection of 0.00011 mg/l of Hexachlorocyclopentadiene (CAS Number 77-47-4) at the entry point (EP-A). Scott said he was unaware of any unusual pesticide applications or events that might have introduced this contaminant, so I recommended he take a confirmation sample. I sent him some links to information on-line about the contaminant, which is used in an herbicide called FERTI-LOME PERMA-TRIM and in the manufacture of pesticides.
