| Details: | SUMMARY: TTHM and HAA5 RAA MCL Exceeded DETAILS: With results of their 3rd quarter 2009 DBP sampling completed on August 27, 2009, the running annual average (RAA) for the period between Oct 1, 2008 and Sept 30, 2009 for TTHM was 0.0890 mg/l and the RAA for HAA5 was 0.1007 mg/l, both of which exceeded the DBP MCLs of 0.080 and 0.060 mg/l, respectively. I called a left a message for Thomas notifying him that a 30-day public notice would be needed for both TTHM and HAA5, since the TTHM MCL was a new exceedance (not exceeded since 2007) and that he would need to include the relevant health effects language for both TTHM and HAA5. The system is soon to be in a bilateral compliance agreement with DWP to resolve the DBP MCLs and had been conducting quarterly public notice for routine HAA5 exceedances. ACTION NEEDED: System to issue Tier 2 public notice within 30 days of October 1, 2009 for the TTHM and HAA5 RAA MCL exceedances, including the relevant health effects language. | ||
