| Details: | SUMMARY: Tracer Study preliminary visit DETAILS: PWS and Water District have entered into a Bilateral Agreement that requires the District to conduct a CT Study to determine chlorine contact time prior to the first user. The tracer study must be completed before September 30, 2009. I met with Peter to conduct a pre tracer study inspection to verify what equipment was installed, chlorine injection system, sample taps, computer tracking/recording capability, etc. Issues that I identified that must be resolved are: no sample tap after chemical injection to measure chlorine dosage, no flow meter installed after the contact chamber to gather flow data , and difficult to determine gas chlorine dosage. I suggested he install the sample tap and flow meter. I discussed these issues with Rob Henry, HBH Consulting, for suggestions and comments and faxed him a schematic of WP and piping layout. ACTION NEEDED: Conduct tracer study after Pete installes flow meter and sampling tap. | ||
