| Details: | SUMMARY: TC+ problems DETAILS: Sue called on behalf of the owners about what to do about their water. They haul in water, and it tested positive for total coliform. They have discontinued use of the water for potable use - no coffee or soda pop. Sinks in bathroom are labeled non-potable. They wondered if they need to do anything else. I referred her to the county HD, since I don’t know the full story. From what I can see on SDWIS, their repeats also came back TC+ with no chlorine residual. I suggested they shock chlorinate the tank and flush it through the system, then take additional samples to see if that resolved the problem. I told her to work with the county on a long-term solution. She said they are planning to drill a well, but not sure how long that will take. ACTION NEEDED: work with County HD to get the system back into compliance. | ||
