| Details: | SUMMARY: Response to TC+ in October DETAILS: Mark called both on 10/6 to report a routine TC+ at the office, 1185 Tucker Road, taken on 10/5. Called on 10/7 to report that two of the three repeats came back TC+, one at the office and one downstream on Elliot Road, the one upstream from office was absent. Mark not aware of any water line break or other potential cause of the positives, other than construction is occuring about 1/4 mile away. Indicated that a sample was absent on the transmission line from Lower York Hill Reservoir. I indicated that this was a Total Col. MCL and a Public Notice was required w/in 30 days. I forwarded both a template for initial notice and one for when the violation was resolved. ACTION NEEDED: System to chlorinate entire system, and flush area where positives occurring, roughly a 1.5 mile stretch of line from the office (1185 Tucker) to the dead end on Elliot Road, then wait 3-5 days, and take special coliform samples from affected area. System to use remaining two routines for October to sample other areas of distribution system from area of positives. System to issue Public Notice to all users by approved method within 30 days, and send copy of notice to DWP. System to consult with DWP after initial shocking of affected area. DWP to provide support unitl resolution of MCL. | ||
