| Details: | May 20th sample from Mars' newly constructed well, that has received final approval in July, detected arsenic at 11.3 micrograms per liter (ug/L), slightly over the MCL of 10.0 ug/L. Jeff and I discussed that a single exceedance of the arsenic MCL is not a violation, with compliance determined by a 4-quarter running annual average. Water system to begin quarterly monitoring at the entry point for arsenic in 3rd quarter 2020, as system will start using new well this week. Dept of Ag and DWS to review follow up samples. Public notice and treatment would be required if the running annual average exceeds the MCL. | ||
