| Details: | SUMMARY: Tracer Study preliminary visit DETAILS: PWS has recently activated a new membrane WTP at the Row River WTP facility replacing the existing package treatment plant. DWP is requiring a chlorine contact time tracer study as the flow has increased greater than 10%. Effluent flow meters are installed after the clearwell and after the two reservoirs. I met with Ray to conduct a preliminary review of plant facilities, sampling locations, SCADA capability, flow and dosage records and set up an appointment to meet with DWP personnel on 8/5/09 to review and approve my CT study protocol. There is a high probability that several hours of chlorine contact time will occur through the entire clearwell and reservoir system based on theoretical calculations. ACTION NEEDED: Conduct tracer study in mid to late August. | ||
