| Details: | SUMMARY: Low Water Pressure and Air Compressor Troubleshooting DETAILS: Well pump cycling on/off every 2 to 5 minutes. The 2,500 gallon tank normally functions on the top half as a bladder tank by use of an air volume float control valve in conjunction with a compressor. For the last two years, the compressor has not worked and water has been getting past the float valve and filling the tank. Some minor piping leaks are also present. I reviewed site conditions and design drawings. Observed pressure gage readings and listened to pressure switch click on repeatedly calling for compressor. Well pump continued to kick on every 2 to 3 minutes. The cover has been missing from the electrical panel for the last two years. I told them to replace it to prevent corrosion and for safety. ACTION NEEDED: Recommended cleaning and servicing float valve, pulling compressor and testing, replacing pressure switch, and repairing piping leaks. | ||
