| Details: | SUMMARY: Water Supply Emergency - Primary well electrical controls destroyed by fire. DETAILS: Page notified Burnett on Sunday afternoon that a fire at the primary well (Well #3) control building damaged the telemetry controls and pump station. The City is working to activate the emergency Well #1, which was recently tested and found to meet water quality standards for coliform bacteria, nitrate, and arsenic. It is uncertain if the City will be able to maintain adequate pressure in the system, so customers were being notified by telephone and door to door Sunday night to curtail water use. ACTION NEEDED: DWP provided the City a public notification to advise customers to curtail non essential uses of water, and actions required if there is loss of pressure in the system. | ||
