| Details: | SUMMARY: Follow up to positive coliform DETAILS: Contacted Michael and her said they found an opening where the vent used to be and frogs/debris were inside. They sealed the well and since then have had positive coliforms. Stutzman was out again yesterday to shock the well for the second time. I recommended they take an additional sample ASAP to see if the shock worked. Discussed proper procedures for disinfecting the well. Mike wasnt sure how much bleach Stutzman used but said they used twice as much this time. I explained to him theres a calculation and they should be using approximately 5.5 cups of bleach. He said they havent been able to open all faucets when they are doing the shock. He said he would take another sample tomorrow and see how it comes back. If there is still a problem, we will meet to discuss next steps. ACTION NEEDED: none | ||
