| Details: | SUMMARY: Positive coliform DETAILS: Contacted Michael and discussed how they shocked the well at the end of October. During previous tries at shocking the well, they did not open each faucet until they could smell the bleach and then let it stand for the 8 hours. They only did the ones that were not in use. This time he said they did do it right and did all faucets. After that they took 3 samples on October 27 and they all came back negative. November 17 they took their 5 repeats and one was positive. I informed him he needed to take 4 repeats ASAP and recommended he contact Stutzman again. I spoke with Amy Parmenter and she said that if they have 6 months of unresolved coliforms we will probably require they put in chlorination. I explained this to Michael too. Michael called back and said he is ready to go ahead and install chlorination now. He is working with Stutzman and directed them to the state to talk to Marsha Fox about starting the plan review process. ACTION NEEDED: none | ||
