| Details: | SUMMARY: Discussed arsenic compliance DETAILS: I called Rondi to discuss establishing an agreement to formalize steps to achieve compliance with the MCL for arsenic. The system is monitoring quarterly, and should now be issuing quarterly public notice which I stated. We dont have a copy of the public notice for the system, which I requested. The basic timeline I suggested to Rondi was approximately 3 months to submit plans and make a decision about how to resolve the arsenic contamination, another 9 months to a year depending on funding to complete construction, and then possibly 3 months to adjust treatment and produce good water. I recommended Rondi call Robert Henry with the ciruit rider, and gave her the names of some other systems with high levels of arsenic. We also discussed different possible resolutions such as an alternate source, treatment, and connecting to another water system. ACTION NEEDED: Rondi will submit public notice to DWP, and I will email a draft draft agreement to Rondi within the next few weeks. | ||
