Details: SUMMARY: Alert dated 11/6/09, nitrates at 10MCL DETAILS: I checked the state website and another sample was received on 11/12/09 with the nitrate level at 5.1. I talked with Harry Staten who stated the firm who put in a water softener, and was monitoring the situation. The firm continues on quarterly nitrate samples due to the 5 MCL continued sample level. The firm has also missed 2 coliform samples which I mentioned to Mr. Staten who will be following upon getting the current quarterly sample taken and resend information if the sample results had not been sent to the state. ACTION NEEDED: Continue monthly nitrate samples and quaretly coliform samples.
