| Details: | SUMMARY: Emergency Response DETAILS: Conversation with park owner as follow up to a phone call anonymous complaint. Complainant informed me that the system ran dry and that the owner was transporting purchased water in a fuel tank. Jack informed me that the tank was borrowed from a local rancher and that the tank was used for the past 12 years for water hauling for fire control. Site visit observed a fuel tank being used for storage. Plumbing configuration appears to be acceptable. System has chlorination but no CT. Subsequent phone cal with owner regarding tank. I told him the tank was unacceptable and that it needed replacing. He contacted a supplier in Coos Bay and is picking up a new 1550 G Poly tank Thursday morning. Also discussed notification of users. He informed me he gave a letter to all residents informing them to not drink the piped water and to use it for toilet flushing only. Potable water is available in a 55 g barrel on property. Transported water is from City of Port Orford. ACTION NEEDED: Spoke with jack regarding state Reg system status and testing requirements. I will meet with Jack ASP to discuss testing/reporting. | ||
