| Details: | I called Mr. Witherrite on July 23 and we spoke briefly while he was operating his restaurant. He stated he mailed both May and June disinfection reports to DWS using his telephone and couldn't answer why they hadn't been received. I explained that I would help locate the reports or he could just re-submit. I said we needed to find a way to have future reports submitted on time because DWS had no other options for resolving the violations except to assess a civil penalty but that I recognized a penalty wasn't in anyone's best interest. Doug asked if he could call me back the following day and I said it would be great to talk further and find a solution. I offered to help however I could so that reports were submitted on time. Mr. Witherrite did not call on July 24 as he said and I tried to reach him again on July 27, leaving a message whereby I explained the situation again and said I would prefer to avoid a civil penalty by helping find a way where reports were submitted on time. Mr. Witherrite called and left a message for me at 7:11 a.m. on July 30 in which he said he had time to talk if I could call him back that morning. I returned Mr. Witherrite's call the same morning just after 10 a.m. and left a message when he didn't answer. | ||
