| Details: | I received an email from Marc that the access door to China Hat Reservoir #1 was discovered pried open yesterday at 3:14 pm. At 3:20 Avion began process to isolate the reservoir and at 4:00 pm took coliform bacteria samples to the lab. After an inspection by Avion employees along with sheriff deputies, it was determined to be highly unlikely that anything entered the storage reservoir. The lock on China Hat Reservoir #2 showed signs that it had also been pried but not opened. The lock on reservoir #2 was replaced at 8 pm and the two access doors chained shut. A permanent repair is in progress. Avion plans to drain reservoir #1 for a complete visual inspection, including assessing locks and installing alarms for improved security. A follow-up on sampling results and reservoir inspection was requested. DWS water security personnel informed of occurrence. No further action needed at this time. |
