| Details: | SUMMARY: Positive coliform DETAILS: I talked with Matthew at length. The firm has, for 2009, been consistently testing and continues to show positive for coliform. The firm has provided bottled water to meet the drinking needs of the workers. Discussion with the state has the system attempting to meet a list of requirements. The system is currently under enforcement for nitrates, and has a extension to install a treatment system for eliminating the nitrates. I talked with Brad Daniels and currently the state does not feel treatment for coliform is an option since it appears the problem may be the well construction. The well was originally an irrigation well and continues to show positive for coliform at each quarterly test. ACTION NEEDED: I will follow up with onsite visit with Matthew to discuss the well construction and provide information relating to ground water influencing the well. | ||
