| Details: | SUMMARY: ALERT ID: COLI6533 1 of 4 repeat samples on 07/31/09 positive for total coliform. DETAILS: 07/29/09--Repeat samples collected. 08/03/09---Alert issued. I spoke with Claude: he is not sure what is responsible for the recent positive samples. He says a chlorine residual of 1.5 -2.0ppm is being maintained consistently throughout the distribution system. The corrective action he is taking is to double check their sampling taps and their sampling technique. I e-mailed him the DWP produce proper sampling technique document. He will be taking five temporary routine samples this week. 08/31/09--Four (not five) routines were submitted, one of which tested positive for total coliform. ACTION NEEDED: See next alert for continuing action needed. |
