Details:	SUMMARY: Computer and power outages Dec & Jan DETAILS: I followed up with Jim today regarding the pH excursion on December 6, 2009. Jim indicated that the computer was not able to produce reliable pH data from this day. The computer is indicating incorrect pH data that is very low (3.5) due to a malfunction associated with power loss on that day. District did not write down manual pH reads during this day. System will accept pH violation, addressed in 1/20/10 contact report. Jim also indicated that the laptop fell off the shelf on 1/14/10 and that a new computer is being installed. District is trying to recall electronic water quality data from 1/14 to current day (1/29) from computer network. System is manually recording turbidity, pH, and chlorine residual at entry point daily. I indicated that CT values needed to be calculated daily as well, using pertinent water quality data and log removal charts, for January compliance reporting. ACTION NEEDED: Jim and I discussed the need to record water quality values daily (pH, turbidity, chlorine residual, temperature, and CTs) for appropriate reporting to DWP. Jim stated that he would calculate CTs manually, if the computer CT values are not retrievable. DWP to offer support if questions on CT calculation.
