Details: | SUMMARY: Reviewed SWTR reporting, checked turbidity readings, reviewed copper sampling DETAILS: I reviewed surface water reporting and turbidity monitoring with Gary Chamberlin and councilman Marvin Schaber. We compared readings from state DW turbidimeter with citys and readings corresponded. Gary has been calibrating the turbidity meter according to manufacturers specifications. Turbidity measurements were 0.34 NTU at infiltration gallery wet well, 0.22 NTU for raw water at the chlorine building, and 0.32 NTU at the inlet to the reservoir. Turbidity in Eagle Creek near the infiltration gallery was 0.85 NTU. Temperature was 7.5 C at the EP, and 8.1 C for the raw water at the chlorine building. pH was 7.8 at the chlorine building, and 7.7 at the EP. We also reviewed copper sampling and water quality parameters. Gary plans to take 5 samples for copper at the designated residences next week, and water quality parameters at the entry point. ACTION NEEDED: Continue periodic calibration of turbidity meter for surface water treatment reporting. Copper samples to be taken in February and July. |
