Details: | SUMMARY: Positive coliform DETAILS: 12/14/09 David called about sample taken 12/11/09 was positive for coliform. He also explained there had been a line break, that it was repaired, and a quart of chlorine bleach was poured in storage tank over the weekend. Given that chlorine is in the system I advised him not to collect repeat samples at this time. After consulting with Daniel Hough I called David back and advised him to collect five temporary routine samples on the first business day of January, 2010. The rationale for not collecting repeat samples is that chlorine will be present in the system until just about the time the five routines will be due. 1/11/10 Per Neilson research, five samples were submitted after January 1, however the lab only took four and accepted them as repeat samples. I spoke with David and Alec at Neilson today, the four repeats will be reidentified as temporary routines and one additional temporary routine will be submitted this month. ACTION NEEDED: One additional temporary routine sample this month. | ||
