| Details: | SUMMARY: Source monitoring required for wells. DETAILS: The City had received the notification letter of 2/16/2010 that source water monitoring is required monthly for each of the source wells. The Jones Well (L11031) requires monthly assessment monitoring under the GWR, and the High School Well (L11032) requires monthly monitoring due to potential GWUDI. It is noted that the High School Well is about 75 feet from an irrigation canal, not the Beech Creek surface stream. Mr. Cearns indicated that the High School Well is only used during the peak summer demand period, July - September and should therefore be designated a "seasonal" source. Therefore, monitoring of this source should only be required from July through September, and sampling is not required when the well is not in use. ACTION NEEDED: High School Well (L11032) changed to seasonal (July 1-Sept 30) in SDWIS by Burnett on 2/19/2010. | ||
