| Details: | SUMMARY: Coliform alert DETAILS: Phoned concerning failed water sample 11/4/09. Spoke to Scott store manager and informed him there are 4 repeat samples that are required upon a positive coliform sample. This firm has had 3 samples resulting in absent results taken since the failure with dates of 11/4/09, 12/2/09 and 1/6/10. However, all samples are labeled as routine. To my knowledge this system has been designated as Ground water under the direct influence of Surface water and as such should be on a quarterly sampling schedule. The system schedule shows quarterly. Please update sampling information. Scott is now fully aware that future positive results will require 4 repeat samples. Additionally, as a result of a food inspection conducted on 12/21/09 this firm was cited for the water system not being operated correctly. Specifically, the intensity meter was unplugged, and when plugged in the meter was far below acceptable limits. Upon a re inspection conducted on 1/4/10 the meter was fixed and the system was operational. The reason for the inoperable meter was originally explained to be the result of problems incurred due to a cold spell for several days at 10-15 degrees. ACTION NEEDED: None | ||
