Details: SUMMARY: Positive coliform and Ecoli DETAILS: Spoke with Kari Salis and Amy Parmenter regarding the current source water test that is positive in well #1. Spoke to Jim Nash and informed him to take five additional source samples today. He stated he would. Amy stated that if the samples come back negative then no further action would be taken as the system provides chlorination. If the system test positive for Ecoli again then some corrective action will need to be administered. The source water assessment indicated that the well casing construction for well#1 is inadequate which could be the issue. The two year time of travel has been flagged for possible fecal contamination due on site septic systems. There is the possibility of shock chlorination if tests confirm Ecoli. Kari stated the system may need to increase the chlorine level until contact times can be evaluated. The system is due for a water system survey this year. I will work with operators to schedule that soon and review contact times. ACTION NEEDED: Wait for results of 5 additional source water tests
