| Details: | SUMMARY: Radionuclide schedules DETAILS: Karen called to find out the DWP website showed the Sunset Village water system on a quarterly monitoring schedule for radionuclides. She recently attended a OAWU class where the trainer reportedly stated that all systems were required to sample once/every nine years. I explained to Karen that we had never received adequate initial sampling results, and therefore the system received a quarterly initial schedule rather than the routine/reduced 9-year schedule. I explained that we could accept two rounds of sample results if both rounds were non-detections for all three analytes. The system has previously collected one round in June 2009 which were all ND. ACTION NEEDED: The system should collect at least one more round of radionuclide samples, and if ND, then be placed on a 9-year monitoring schedule. | ||
