| Details: | SUMMARY: Follow up and resolution of January total coliform MCL DETAILS: Discussed the two special samples taken on 3/10 at the hose bib in feed room and Mens restroom faucet that were coliform absent. These two were taken at locations previously total coliform present in early January 2010. I indicated given that the absent spring source sample taken immediately after the positive in January, the five absent temporary routines in February and the two absent specials in March, that the MCL violation for total coliform was resolved. We discussed that the bacteria was very likely no longer present in the system, given all this data, and that the original positives occurred immediately after a heavy storm in January, and may well have been flushed out of the system. I indicated that the tier 2 public notice could be lifted at the hatchery, and that providing bottled water to hatchery employees was no longer necessary. ACTION NEEDED: James to forward a total coliform MCL resolved public notice template to Mark. Mark to resume normal quarterly coliform sampling during April - Jun 2nd quarter 2010. DWP to continue to provide support to OD F&WL as a more permanent treatment solution is developed at the hatchery to upgrade or replace the UV units, which have not been approved through plan review. | ||
