| Details: | SUMMARY: Turbidity Readings (continued from 03-08-10) DETAILS: Jim Pinson called saying he customarily did most of work w/ the drinking water treatment system, but had not worked since early January - when reported turbidity readings began to be excessive. He understands anything @ 1.5 NTU or above to be at the MCL, and expressed that the hand held turbidimeter, used for daily documentation, not to be accurate. His immediate intent included: 1. Move the in-line turbidimeter from the treatment building to the first point of use at the residential/ranch house-- 2. Eliminate use of the hand held turbidimeter, but see that it is calibrated and available as a back up-- and 3. Provide written protocol of actions to follow after high turbidity readings are received. ACTION NEEDED: As above. |
