| Details: | SUMMARY: Meeting to review issues and process for connecting to City of Richland System DETAILS: Amy Baker & Gary Burnett of DWP met with Sherrie Kvamme & Peg Coffin of New Bridge Water District in Baker City. Issues involving the potential connection to the City of Richland water system were reviewed. New Bridge has been discussing potential funding with Jake Salcone (503-228-1780) of Rural Community Assistance Corporation (RCAC). A master plan was completed by Anderson-Perry engineers in 2004 and it was recommended that New Bridge ask the engineer for an updated cost estimate to present to RCAC or other funding agencies as needed. USDA Rural Development has also been involved with the District in the past and there may be potential funding opportunities through that agency. However, the District needs to improve the financial accounting practices and other documentation requirements. ACTION NEEDED: New Bridge Water Board to continue discussions with funding agencies and Richland City Council. | ||
