| Details: | SUMMARY: Magnetic flow meter installed at outlet of reservoir DETAILS: The magnetic flow meter was installed at the outlet of the reservoir on March 15. This replaced the mechanical meter that was not accurate. The new meter also records the peak flow each day and therefore the reading can be used for the daily surface water treatment report. The current peak daily flow this time of year is 40-60 gpm. Since the contact volume is 202,000 gallons the contact time and actual CT value are way in excess of required. ACTION NEEDED: Flows will be monitored closely during summer high demand to compare peak daily (instantaneous) flow with measured peak hourly flow to assure that CT calculations are realistic. | ||
