| Details: | SUMMARY: Nitrate Plan Review DETAILS: Nitrate levels exceeded the MCL. Facility closed until they could produce acceptable water. After consultation, plans were submitted to the state for a Resin-Tech to provide centralized removal of nitrate. Preliminary approval was granted by the state on February 10, 2010. System was installed and a nitrate test was conducted February 23. The result was 0.674 mg/l below the action level. An inspection was conducted by Klamath County on March 11, 2010 of the installed equipment. Photos were taken, attached. ACTION NEEDED: System will need to monitor monthly the influent and effluent from the Resin-Tech filters with a field kit and they must quarterly sample the distribution system water for nitrate at a certified lab. | ||
