Assistance Type: WATER QUALITY ALERT RESPONSE
Reasons: Coliform
N/A

Details: SUMMARY: Positive coliform DETAILS: 3/11/10 Well #3 has not been in use for 18 months per Vicki Coons and cannot be placed back into service without being rewired, service disconnect switch to the auto pressure switch, and per Daniel Hough source assessment monitoring will be waived. This source will be listed as inactive and as an emergency source. If the operator wishes to place this source back into service the a coliform and nitrate sample need to be collected and source assessment monitoring will need to resume. 4/1/10 - A sample was collected on 4/5/10 and tested positive for coliform. This sample was mistakenly collected, SRC-AB is inactive and source assessment monitoring is not required on this inactive source per Daniel Hough. I called Vicki and left a message that she responded to in an email, the gist of which is that Neilson Research was not notified that they were supposed to stop collecting samples at SRC-AB. Vicki informed me that the lab has now been notified to stop collecting samples from this source. ACTION NEEDED: None
