| Details: | SUMMARY: Arsenic Exceeding MCL DETAILS: System operates a small distribution system that serves 31 connections and approximately 45 people. The system is composed of a single well that feeds into a small treatment system to remove particulates and other elements before the distribution system. The existing treatment consists of a water softening system followed by activation carbon. The moorage distribution system feeds docked houseboats and boats. The system has exceeded the MCL for Arsenic. HBH was contacted to provide assistance with developing a treatment system or other strategy to deal with the arsenic issue. I met with system personnel on-site to review existing situation and discussed possible strategies that can be used to deal with arsenic. I pulled well log for this water system as well as the neighboring water system to determine proximately of aquifers. ACTION NEEDED: Assist system with the selection of arsenic removal strategy. | ||
