Details: | As follow-up to (1)the ALERT relating to arsenic results of 0.0148 (above the MCL) sample taken 6/21/18 and (2) unconfirmed corrections of deficiencies from the 2017 survey this email was sent: Craig: things to cover in this message: 1. Update and distribute the arsenic public notice to your tenants. Send a copy of that notice to me or the state (or both). 2. As long as well #3 continues in use, without effective treatment, quarterly arsenic sampling is a requirement. 3. Follow what the state guys tell you to do in order to have [plan review] approval to use a new well and/or provide treatment for arsenic removal. Pay especial attention to any dates/deadlines. 4. As per your message below: Your responses to (2) and (4) sound satisfactory. Your responses to (1) and (3) need clarification. I have attached what might help you prepare an (1) Emergency Response Plan and the following link might help you prepare an (3) Operations and Maintenance Manual: http://www.nesc.wvu.edu/pdf/dw/publications/ontap/magazine/OT_WI10.pdf#page=27 The simplest O and M will have a list of prudent activities with a schedule to complete and a "how to" section for use of equipment and any technical operation activities. A separate email was sent including 3 attachments relating to doing a security and vulnerability assessment and preparing an emergency response plan. Craig Bennett forwarded the public notice to me on 7/7/18 and replied to my email directly on 7/9/18. |
