| Details: | SUMMARY: Water quality issues at Salmon River WC DETAILS: I spoke with a customer at the Salmon River Water Company regarding the administrative orders issued to the other systems owner by Rose Lodge Water Co. The customer was wondering about some of the abbreviations and codes used at our website. The customer was also concerned about the poor taste of water at the Salmon River system that made it undrinkable. The customer had a number of concerns regarding whether the owner of the system was taking the systems defeciencies seriously, and whether the taste and odor concerns would ever be addressed. The customer also believed that the poor condition of the systems reservoir was contributing to the taste and odor concerns. I clarified that DWPs regulatory authority is for water quality and the safety of drinking water, and so long as water is safe to drink, we dont have the authority to require it to taste good. We also discussed current and future enforcement actions, and how the system could respond to those actions. ACTION NEEDED: N/A | ||
