| Details: | SUMMARY: Inspected filtration plant, reviewed water quality tests & SWTR reporting forms DETAILS: James Burton is the new operator to replace Matt Gross (who died in March 2010). Several people in addition to James were present to review water treatment operations, including Ed Garner of Fluid Control Co. in Boise, ID (company that supplied treatment equipment)-- Jerry King, President of Lakeshore Board-- and Randy Slinker, Board member. The system has 3 stage filtration-- 2 pressure sand filters, 3M bag filters, and Harmsco cartridge filter. The pressure filters had apparently been left on line over the winter, but one does not seem to be working properly because the electronic controller for the backwash process is not working. Ed Garner placed new bags in cartridges in the housings for the respective filters. The chlorine solution pump needs to be replaced and more spacing is required between the solution feed pump and solution tank so the pump can be adjusted. I reviewed daily water quality testing requirements for turbidity and chlorine residual, and the SWTR reporting including CT calculations with James Burton and Carolyn Gilbert. ACTION NEEDED: Ed Garner to send new pressure guages and chlorine solution pump. DWP to complete water treatment plant inspection form. | ||
