| Details: | SUMMARY: Jefferson County DETAILS: Routine coliform sample 5/5/10 was positive. All four repeats 5/7/10 were positive including one at the well. On 5/11 I called Mark to discuss follow up actions. He said the system has been shut down for a few months and he had this problem once before when he started I up for the season. He said that he was planning to disinfect the well and distribution system and then flush it out. I suggested he take a couple of special samples after flushing to make sure that the system is clean before doing his temporary routines. I emailed Mr. Foster a template for the unresolved coliform public notice and told him to fill it out and send a copy to the state. ACTION NEEDED: Operator to disinfect and flush system and then resample. Operator to do public notice. | ||
